Did anybody pick up on the fact that Teo's fight was 10 rounds?
How do the points go for Close, Clear, Wide in a 10 round fight?

I sure didn't!

"If the fight is a 10 round fight or ends in a technical decision, the cutoff lines of 9 pts and 18 points are scaled down to the number of rounds fought so that CLOSE is ≤0.75R and WIDE is >1.5R - rounded to the nearest whole - where R is the number of rounds fought

so WIDE for a 10 round fight will be wider than 15 points (eg 97-93, 98-92, 98-92) and CLOSE will be a total split of 8 points or fewer"

DECISION: CLOSE (0-8), CLEAR (9 - 15), WIDE (16+)

You've absolutely smashed it this last couple of weeks... that's 350 points already even before a virtually guaranteed 90 or 120 on Naoya. Gonna bring you right up into the top 10 I think but it's looking like you may have just started your sprint finish a little late plus you got a mountain to climb having missed 5 picks over the year. In any event kudos man. Epic level finishing.

There were finally some fights that I felt I could sink my teeth into.

The year isn't over yet, though. And I still have some multipliers remaining.

I'd noticed then forgotten... in the event it doesn't make a difference for our purposes however. The split on the judges cards it 7 points which counts as a CLOSE DECISION whether it's a 10 or a 12 rounder.

How is it that this title eliminator was only 10 rounds? I've seen eliminators that were 12 rounds and it was explained that they were such because they were eliminators.

How is it that this title eliminator was only 10 rounds? I've seen eliminators that were 12 rounds and it was explained that they were such because they were eliminators.

I don't know. Best guess is that it's maybe cos Sandor was a late replacement and wasn't prepped for a 12 rounder? He was suppossed to be Teo's mando after Pedraza but obviously with Jose dropping out it made sense for him to fill the date - I assume the WBC accepted the compromise to keep the date.
