    One of the most famous referees in boxing history, Mills Lane, died Tuesday morning in Reno at the age of 85. His son, Tommy Lane, told the Reno Gazette Journal that his father died after being in ho****e for the past week. He is survived by his wife Kay and sons Terry and Tommy.

              The best referee I have seen. I remember before a major fight always hoping he would be the 3rd man in the ring. May the great one rest in peace.

                  No, he got really ill and people thought he would die soon, but he was so far declined he couldn't even speak.
