This fight sux but it might be all Canelo can do anymore is fight guys with no shake n bake. He'll probably punish Ryder for 9 rounds before they call it.

Blame bum Andrade for that he had his opportunity to get into mandatory slot instead of Ryder but he avoided Zach Parker, He should of betted on himself instead of feeling so hard done by on the purse even if it was free it was the way to the Canelo lottery he fumbled it.

Lol. What ever happened to only wanting to fight the best? This ******* and his free fights just blow my ****ing mind. So you can't beat the best in the division I get it but just stop with the ****in excuses.

People like you are why boxing sucks. In no ****ing way is this any kind of good fight. Just because your boy is getting a payday. This is a bull**** figtt and shouldn't be allowed. But cheatballs gets away with murder and avoids people like Benevedez and Beterbiev like the plague.

You saying good fight doesn't make it a good ****ing fight. It's a **** fight and you know it and you're defending it

You got it the other way around. You seem small brained so your thinking is probably too small to see it, but the setup Benavidez uses only deprives the sport of a myriad of great fights. And does little more than perpetuate that type of protection plan for future fighters before they finally hand their asses over to the men at the pinnacle of the sport.

Imagine, Benavidez could’ve fought Smith, Ramirez, Ryder, Plant etc and filled his resume with top 10 opponents filling boxing history with a great gallery of fights. Plus the clash with the guy who has beaten Lara, Cotto, Golovkin, Jacobs, Smith, Kovalev, etc would be monstrously more significant, for everyone involved and history.

As for the Ryder fight, I like it because he’s taken the risks in his careers and given us better matchups than Benavidez, and he’s currently a top 5 SMW at least. And I’m sure we’ll all be happier about Canelo vs Benavidez after Benavidez puts on a show vs Plant. Which will prove my point.

Same old song, and his jock holders eat it up. I doubt he even fights Bivol, there will be "something" now that he knows he can't just walk him down as he's been doing over the last few years against a pile of British fighters.

If he doesn’t want another L so soon I think it’s in his best interest that he revisit Bivol later. Go beat up Charlo or take on David.

I won’t crap on him if he takes this tune up next but if the fight after isn’t Bivol, Benavidez, Charlo or some good wildcard match up that nobody’s thinking about, he rightfully deserves all the hate that will be spewed his way
He won't, and you know he won't. He just chose a guy that lost to all the UK boxers he's beaten already, even lost to a few doughnut designers. He's running to Europe because all these fighters that he's been avoiding are on Showtime now, even Andrade. They're all about to start fighting each other, starting with Plant and Benavidez, and he won't have a choice because they will be in every mandatory spot, except of course, the WBO, which will be held specifically for his Euro-boxer opponents.
