Maybe not for Al Haymon and PBC but I'm sure Mayweather and Ellerbe are reeling right now. Mayweather always had a chip on his shoulder towards Oscar and what he's built and continuing to build with GBP so this no doubt is a tough pill to swallow as it's sets May's own company back exponentially.

Oscar had a better start with Richard Schaefer, even though they fell out in the end. The Mayweather/Ellerbe dynamic doesn't seem to work outside of Floyd being an active fighter himself.

Well thats a compliment towards Oscar isnt ? Can't fault Oscar for hiring competent people who know the industry like Schaeffer,Gomez and Diaz who are leaps and bounds ahead of what Ellerbe is capable of.

Eddie said it was one fight with no strings attached but in the Charlo case he never really sent the official offer. He was recruiting in a way. And you’re right about the Tank TR payday it would be his 2nd highest payday. But you know when you get a taste of that big money you want to keep getting it. I know for a fact TR would have to have some kind of guarantee on Tanks next fight. There’s no way they’d do a one and done. But TR has the roster that maybe they could sell Tank on a 3 fight contract. There stacked from 130 to 140. You go from Loma, Haney, Stevenson, Josh Taylor, to Teofimo we’re talking career defying fights.

I think DAN-B has a point. There would be no PBC without Floyd. I think the day to day operations of MP was being handled by Leonard while Floyd was all over the world doing exhibitions. As long as Pbc is around then MP will be alright.

Yeah, if he beats Loma, I think his dad loves the attention of being a free agent that everyone else has to call for a championship fight.....I don't blame him, its gotta be nice to hold all the cards when negotiating and know that you're calling the shots.

He doesn’t hold all the cards though. He went to TR for far less money than he was getting from DAZN and he had to go on the road twice. He’s got the belts but he’s not a household name. TR has the roster to make him some decent offers but he can’t sell any tickets on his own. DAZN gambled that they could make him a star but they cut bait when that wasn’t working. I don’t think he’ll ever earn that kind of scratch again.
