I get that Fury wanted to take a tune-up fight but this was ridiculous. Pulev is done and I still believe Usyk carried Chisora to get Fury to fight him. Chisora was done 5 fights ago. He could have fought Otto or someone else. He seemed to just want to give Chisora a huge payday before he retired. What a joke.

Welcome to 2022 in this day and age 2 grown men of different colors are capable of being friends believe it or not and those 2 grown men are able to make their own choices. If my black friend wanted to fight for millions of dollars and beat the **** out me I'd thank him as well. Just as Fury thanked Chirosa for being a friend and putting on a show. Had Chirosa won with a first round knockout I'd bet my life he would still thank Fury.
This was not a fight, it was a beating. Chisora did not win in the first round just like everyone knew he would not. His only strength is using his size on smaller guys and that obviously would not work. This was an organized senseless beating of Dereck Chisora. He obviously already has damaged his brain from all the beatdown he did and then the current lineal champion who is an absolute giant of a man still wants to beat Dereck up for 10 rounds? That's pathetic from Fury. Truly pathetic and shameful.
Fury wanted an easy fight and he sure as hell needs to be lying to himself if he thinks the money Chisora received makes up for the damage it took. Fury wanted an easy fight and he got it. Instead of facing a real challenge he beat up his journeyman friend who had literally no hope of winning this so called fight. No speed, no power, no footwork, throws mostly wild haymakers hoping to land. His only strength is that he is too stubborn to give up. Listen to Dereck after the fight, he seems like Sleepy Joe *****. If Fury was a real friend he obviously would have said "Dereck, I love you and therefore I would never beat you again, the last fight was enough."
This was a complete mismatch with no sense at all and just because it made money doesn't make it any less barbaric and ******. Usually this kind of mismatches happen as young up comers are facing total taxi drivers but there it sort of makes some sense as the level of the fighter learning the craft has a lot of weaknesses and there is no way to know what is the right amount of challenge. Here everyone knew from the get go and it went exactly as planned and it was a complete disgrace for the sport and indeed all sports and all athletes.

As for the race part, don't be so ridiculous. Are you Wilder's brother or something?Yeah well Anthony Joshua beat Pulev years ago in a complete mismatch too. But that fight actually had some questions marks around it with AJ losing a fight just a while before. Pulev is trash.
Chisora's only weapon is using his size and Usyk being the smaller man it obviously poses a different kind of challenge that Chisora can give Fury. I don't believe you're actually oblivious to this, you just wanna twist things.
So to answer your question, because it was obviously always going to be a senseless beating of a hopeless veteran who has taken way too many punches anyway. It's a massive shame that Fury would sink this low just to get an easy fight and pretend he was doing a service to the guy he was beating and hurting each and every round. This is barbaric and an embarassment to the world of sports. And the fact people tuned in and cheered as a no-hoper who is too stubborn to quit was getting beat from pillar to post is even more pathetic.
Sports are meant to be competitive but it is even more important in combat sports where people are risking their lives every time.

Atrocious opponent selection by Fury. Turd of a fight with an absolutely predictable result.
It could've been Usyk or Joshua in there instead of Chisora, but both men didn't want it.
After Fury knocks Usyk out next year all this will be forgotten about, and Del will be still be 2 million pound richer. All good in my book.

"Stay busy fight" uh-uh man, Fury would have benefited more from a sparring session with Joe Joyce than beating a living heavy bag in Chisora.
And this "it could have been" is such a theme with Fury. Klitschko rematch - nah. Wilder III - nah. Maybe fight a contender - nah let's make it Tom Schwarz. It sure could have been but Fury doesn't want it. He wants to play it safe and punch his "friend" who poses no threat to him.
Looking forward to Fury vs Charr.dan-b likes this.

More than happy to see a fighter being beaten for half an hour straight without any hope of winning because he made money. This is what drives so many fighters to ruin their lives, people cheering them on to make bad choices for themselves.

This is boxing, there's mismatches and fighters receiving brutal beatings every weekend. If you're that concerned about boxers getting punched, then i suggest you give it a miss and watch something else.

Chisora, Arreola, Martin, whoever, all of these guys are all just punching bags for Fury.
