Do you think this Crawford fight will make a dime in profit? At $39.99 for the PPV they would have to sell 250k buys to make up just his purse. Not to mention paying the other fighters and covering their expenses to put on the fight. You think it’s selling anywhere close to that?
So because whoever BLK Prime is are willing to light $10 million on fire to pay Crawford that means Haymon should have made a bad business decision?
You must have forgot Bud’s last promoter said he lost money on him for years and no other established promoter wanted anything to do with him once he was free from Top Rank.Last edited by QballLobo; 12-03-2022, 12:34 AM.

Great business move for bud and his team. Getting the ring rust of and making 10mill in the process.
this is going to be a great fight, this guy is no push over. With 6 consecutive knock outs in a row he is full of confidence, he can switch has real power and he has nothing to lose.
These are the most dangerous fights.
I like how bud is moving on with his career.

They are not paying him 10 million. He's probably doing the promotion a solid to allow them to recruit and sign on based on the notion they pay well. He is also using it as a negotiation tactic when they get back to the table for a Spence negotiation. The numbers does not work no matter how you slice and dice. At 100,000 buys, the fight makes 4 million and even under Top Rank and with all the promotion push, Crawford's high I think is like 50,000 buys. They are probably paying him decent while taking some loss so they gain entry with a good name fighter. But no way, no how they paying him 10M.
