Let this be a warning to other athletes...

It seems there has been a string of arrests in regards to Athletes with weapons lately. I hope this is yet another clear cut reason why it is so important that these athletes keep themselves involved in their careers and keep themselves away from neighborhoods where the need for protection is necessary.
Many call themselves "selling out" yet when you go to jail for two years or more you are "selling yourself short" of selling out arenas and venues which will inevitably make you more uncomfortable in the long run.
James Kirkland can not get caught with another weapon or he's done. He's already been arrested for this before.
As for his in ring return, he'll need a couple of tune ups but he'll be okay. I think this layoff really wasn't good for his young career but, he'll be alright. I hope he makes this business of boxing his top priority. He's a tough guy with still quite a bit to learn. I hope he stays focused and takes what ever money he has and puts himself in a place where firearms aren't needed.
