great news. james kirkland IMO is the best fighter w/ superstar potential out of all the young up & comers. hopefully he learned his lesson. good background to fill out future 24/7 episodes.

I agree. before all this went down. I thought he was the only true prospect Golden Boy had. I was never big on Victor Ortiz. But, Kirkland IMO was the one. I thought he was going to be the man at 154. So I am exciting he to hear he will be fighting again next year. I hope Golden Boy brings him back slowly for the first couple fights tho.Comment

He got off light in this instance. If he slips up again, he won't see the light of day in free air for a good portion of his remaining existence. He better keep his nose to the grindstone and make some money for himself inside the ring.Comment

Why is that? If he can get the right fight against the right opponent at the right time. where it will make it an HBO PPV. He has a fan friendly style. He is a tv fighter all action. And, if he ever is with an opponent that is PPV worthy. Than I don't see he won't be able to have a 24/7.Comment
