Canelo is big time in boxing... but he's not within a million miles of any kind of Messi type conversation.

He's mentioning Messi's name for likes and follows. Pathetic really.

All Messi needs to do is change his name to Laniel Mesividez and Canelo won't dare say a word to him.

Clenelo has eaten to many mexican steaks. He must need some attention. It's silly.

Yeah, maybe he'll need to take three years off, get grossly out of shape and gaslight anytime the question gets raised. Maybe he'll dramatically lose all his hair, too!

He is probably using World Cup and dummy Ronaldo fans to market his brands. Do you read comments on Twitter? Ronaldo fans are rooting for and following him. He'll reach 2.5 million on Twitter in a short time. All of those are PR, not BS nationalism.

I saw the video which has Canelo and some other Mexicans riled up. Looks like it’s being blown out of proportion.

It is really funny to me that Mexico is a country of over 100M people and football is clearly the most popular sport. It's not even close. Yet, they have haven't achieved any success in the sport at all, which is staggering.

For smaller countries that don't have the resources, I can understand that level of futility. For Mexico, it has to be really embarrassing.

Canelo is reaching new levels of embarrassment.

They have the worst fanbase in international football by a country mile.
