If he was British the man would probably have ad an insane fan base. The Brits have always been known to come out in stampedes to support their fighters, and if they made a man who should be sleeping in the streets a marquee fighter, I think the same would have happened to Williams.

Yes, hell even Winky Wright would have a mad fan base if he was British.

I would say that only a fair few have had huge fan bases.

Prince Naz. The guy was an entertainer.

Hatton. He played the fact that he's a working class boy and from Manchester well.

Lennox had some, but because of his style not that much. He was a winner so people stuck by him.

Frank Bruno was an under dog people's champ. He had a great personality.

Benn and Eubank too. Great fights.

Calzaghe only started selling out later on his career.

Amir has some, but not as big as he should be. I'm guessing he only sells out 5-8K max.

      Froch aint nobody yet.

Paul Williams would definitely have a following of about 5k I would say. He's a good freak of a fighter in terms of weight. I would definitely pay to watch him

Frank warren would have got him a 100-0 record, and they would bring him to the ring muzzled and in a cage.

I doubt Winky though. We didn't really appreciate Lennox until he was fighting near his retirement. Heck a lot of boxing fans didn't appreciate him at the time. Too defensive in my mind to be loved.

Calzaghe had a whole country behind him (Wales).
          Hatton a city.
Amir has Pakistani's, ******s and Asians (His parents origins)

I suppose if he grew up somewhere and played the local boy part well, he would sell out often. You need to be mroe than a good boxer to have fans, you need to have something where people can associate like Pavlik and Youngstown.

British fans show impressive support to their fighters. Any fighter with a notable level of success would be big draws.

              LOL.

Frank would have gotten him the WBU welterweight title like he did with Jenkins LOL.

If Paul was from here? Yep, I think he'd be a star. I like him no matter where he's from. A good fighter is a good fighter.
