It‘s so obvious RJJ wants the job, desperately needs the money. His resume as coach is mediocre and he’s just marketing his name.

This, in a nutshell.

Robert Garcia is an excellent coach and regardless of "background", he's fluent in boxing, which is all that matters.

And all this stuff about him being too small to teach big heavyweights, yeah, because everyone remembers the 6'6" man-mountain Emmanuel Steward, the only guy big enough to teach Lennox Lewis and Wladimir Klitschko how to fight effectively using their size. Then there's Angelo Dundee, another behemoth amongst men...

RJJ ONCE a great fighter now he’s trying to live off the past , not a great success as a trainer in fact he’s awful , the female fighter he has were awful when he got her afew ago and she’s worse now , he needs to learn how to coach fighters and not just be “ RRJ trainer “ anyone can call themselves a trainer but coaching and reaching a fighter are worlds apart .

Roy Jones Jr. just isn't a good trainer, his track record on that front is pathetic.

Roy is one my favourite fighters ever but in terms of training he just trys to clone his fighters to have his style of fighting an the guys are atheletic but there not as athletic as he was to pull of that kinda style for 12 rounds.

Most ATG boxers do that, they try to put too much of themselves into the pupil, best trainers were average to decent fighters or they never boxed were just students of the game and had great intuition and were always observing and learning.

I'm not sure if it's a good point from Roy.

But he was a great fighter, athletically a freak with the tricks in there. A very impressive win over John Ruiz at heavyweight.

But if he stuck around longer there, he would've been knocked out by Mike Tyson and Lennox Lewis.

Fernandez and Garcia offer nothing to Joshua. Get rid of them. Not saying RJJ but he needs a real heavyweight trainer in his corner.

what difference will Roy Jones make for AJ now? IMO.. nothing, actually I think he will be even worse. Garcia has no blame, AJ should have had a tune up fight first rather then fight Usyk straight away.
