c'mon, everytime floyd fights, there's someone that says 'i know the casual fans that watched that fight will never buy another mayweather fight'...and then floyds next fight sells some ridiculous number of PPV. People said it after the DLH fight, 'floyd ran all night, it wasn't exciting, people won't buy his next fight', etc. etc.

Hate him all you want, but the guy sells fights.

The criticism goes away when he faces the best in the division. He is by far the best talent in all of boxing. I dislike Floyd's persona and the way he markets himself, however I'm not blind to his talent. I want him to make believers out of the doubters, but for him to do that he needs to care less about protecting that "O" and more about cementing his legacy at welterweight.

He has grown into a full fledged welterweight and it's time he faces other welterweights. Floyd can longer use the excuse that fighter B does not bring enough money to the table. He is now the cash cow according to his own words and those of his fans, therefore whomever he chooses to fight, the money will be there. Some of his fans are so overly zealous in there defense of the fighter. I think Floyd would beat all the fighters they put in front of him, but you still have to fight the fights. Boxing doesn't lend itself to the hypothetical. Mosley jumped twice at the chance to take on both Vernon and Winky, knowing that if he were to win, the money and glory would come, invariably he lost but you know what ended up coming his way? RESPECT--for a boxer's legacy that is the ultimate currency.
