Wallin was young, strong and motivated when he fought Fury. Everyone remembers the massive cut. This was also Fury’s last fight with Davis. This had to be a very treacherous fight for Fury. Not because of Wallin’s skills, but due to the cut. That fight could have been stopped at any moment, and many believe it should have. I don’t think Ben Davis ever advised Fury to Knock Wallin out, but to box. That was the strategy. Fury haters want to only remember the cut and that it went 12. Not that Wallin was being demolished and at no time did Fury attempt a KO. He developed his power punching after that bout. Davis was great for an overweight returning ring rusted Tyson Fury.
