Who is his promoter? Dawejko & Booker are decent names on the resume but Booker is a survivor & Dawejko owns a roofing company so he only moonlights as a boxer. He needs to move up to the C+ level fighters like Forrest, Hammer, Wach or Kiladze. Maybe fights with other guys at his level like Chaney or George Arias.Comment

"You're one of the best fighters in the world right now". Where in the hell does that come from surely not from your ranking # 30 in the world.
It can't come from the fighters you've beaten, because you've only beaten one fighter in the top 50 ranked fighters in the world, (Jonathan Rice # 49).
Maybe you'll become one of the best fighters in the world, but you're no where near that right now as you put it yourself.
If you're in a rush to get there, you're definitely going to have to fight better opposition than Jonathan Rice.
You can start by fighting the fighters ranked in the top 20, once you've gotten past them, it's on to the top 10.
Then, and only then can you honestly call yourself one of the best fighters in the world, but until then saying it won't carry any real weight.

You said it right when you said decent journeymen on his resume, that doesn't qualify nor add an iota of credence to his statement.
If the best name on your resume is ranked # 49 in the world, and Rice was elevated to # 49 on the strength of his two unexpected wins against Michael Coffie.
Coffie ironically was also undefeated at the time, and probably had the same thoughts in his mind as Shaw has, but didn't have the audacity to say it.
Once Coffie loss to Rice, he lost an immediate rematch to him, and suffered a technical knockout loss to a fighter with a 3-0 record in his last fight.
That's the reason you shouldn't get ahead of yourself in the game of boxing, where much is promised, much is sacrificed but seldom few are rewarded.
Here's a tall salute to all of the fighters who given their all, some even their lives, you have are gratitude, admiration, and respect.
