Bivol doesn't need to bait anything. He's living in Canelo's head rent free. I bet Alvarez is absolutely obsessed with figuring out how to beat him. I couldn't believe Reynoso and Canelo made no adjustments at all during the fight, although I doubt it would have mattered. They got overconfident, and underestimated their opponent. It's a shame they can't seem to make the fight with Beterbiev though. Bivol doesn't seem to cut a lot of weight, so maybe he really could drop down and have the rematch at 168 and take everything from Canelo...

I can't see what changes Canelo would need to make to beat Bivol. He would either need to be five inches taller, have 8 cubic inches more of lung capacity, or have a different skill set developed over his professional career. After 17 years in the sport, I don't see Canelo re-inventing himself in a way that allows him to beat Bivol.
I suspect he would rather end his glory days with another loss to Bivol than a new loss to Benavides. He can always say, "Bivol was a bridge too far." But he can't make that excuse for a loss in his own current weight category of super-middleweight.Last edited by TheVoiceOfReason; 11-23-2022, 09:20 PM.

Honestly, Canelo is overweight at 168 also, Bivol beats him even at that weight if he can make 168 comfortably.
Canelo is what he is , a small flat footed guy that didn`t like close fights at 154-160, that is why he moved up in the first place. he had a great idea that heavier guys would be easily to beat. It worked at 168, at 175 not so much.
