I totally agree with Crawford, boxing has needed a good enema for the longest time. They need to purge Bob Arum and PBCs Al Haymon and the boxing world would be the better for it. These jackasses ridiculously protect their boxers at all cost. The losers are the boxers and the fans. Cudos to Crawford for getting rid of Arum and being an independent. Hope Spence does the same with Haymon. This epic fight would be Leonard vs Herns all over again. Nuff said.

al haymon is the reason this fight isnt happening .

both fighter want it , both fighters are not scared and both fighters will have to manuever around al haymon.

there are three hungry lions in

ortiz boots and staionis and a hungry formerlly wounded lion in thurman for 2023 if this fight still cant be made .

Same thing with Davis vs Garcia. Haymon is doing his best to block these fights, pushing it back is just the best he can do without completely exposing himself.
Where are you getting this info from? He said he agreed to everything, yet chose to fight someone else? In another article he said he didn't get no guarantee, but failed to mention that Spence didn't have a guarantee either. Bud wanted $22 million for the fight, Espinoza only wanted to give him $5 million. Espinoza went up to $8 million and Bud went down to $15 million. Espinoza went up to $10 million, but Bud was form on $15 million. Espinoza was not certain that they could make money if they gave Bud and Spence $15 million a piece, so they agreed to do no guarantees for both fighters. Yall just be saying stuff on here and not listening to the interviews. Spence literally read the contract on his Instagram and told Crawford to show his followers the contract if he's lying. He has yet to show his copy of the contract.

Moral lesson of the story is fighters who become established need to find a way to get out of their current contracts and become independent. Not hard to find a network or platform to cover the fight.

Link the bold. I just hope your source isn’t war of the week, or w/e his name is, and you have a more reliable source than a youtuber with “someone I can’t name told me” as a source. Because there’s one guy who was directly involved with negotiations saying he was never offered a guarantee.

My source is the fighter’s themselves. Crawford said he agreed to everything. And Spence likewise said he gave Crawford everything he wanted (eventually). If you want to talk about that in more detail we can. But pick a focus. And I do want your source to the bold first.

Naw Craw. It's your business that spoiled the fight.

Can't we just even move on and accept that there are still in-house fights that are supposed to be easier to make? Thurman, Stanionis, Ennis, Spence, Ugas, Crowley, Butaev, Ellis, etc.

There's still so many fights INHOUSE that can be made without Crawford. What is the problem?

You named 8 fighters. If they would all fight one of each other in the next year we'd get 4 ok fights at worst - nobody is salivating over a fight between Crowley, Butaev or Ellis.

If we got Spence-Thurman, Ennis-Stanionis and Ugas-Butaev - I'd watch, but I wouldn't be enthralled wouldn't be salivating. I want to see any 2 of Ennis, Spence, Crawford and Ortiz in the first half of 2023 then that's what gets me and most other boxing fans excited - even or near-even matchups in a timely manner.

As it is, I'm doubting we get Bud-Spence in 2023. 2024 is too late, Bud will be 36 years old. And I'm thinking Ortiz-Ennis will just circle around each other until 2026 - just like Bud-Spence and Pac-Floyd.
