Colbert is very talented, but it seemed he chose to fight the wrong style against Garcia, and couldn't or wouldn't adjust his game plan. Prior to the Garcia fight I thought he'd make it interesting against Shakur, but now I'm in serious doubt.

This. It's been 9 months since his loss, and he's still ruminating on Garcia.....not a good sign. He should be getting fights anywhere to build his confidence and work on lapses that he showed last time out.

Wrong game plan but I also think Colbert was used to being the bigger guy and when he realized Garcia was as big and stronger than him with high pedigree, he had no plan B.

Agree with that. I know its easy to sit here behind a keyboard but if he wants to make progress he is not helping himself. Fighters should fight 3 x a year minimum

I guess a fighter cannot take an L these days. Everybody comes out of the woodwork to remind all that they knew this was bound to happen all along. I think he is a solid fighter. He just needs to cut down on the fluff and antics and rededicate himself to his craft.
