Both guys got touched up in their last fights......I'm taking Stanionis on this one due to his ability to fight well on the backfoot.

Great fight! Hoping it happens! Bigger test for Ortiz than Mean Machine, in my view. Stanionis is solid, young and hungry, has some pop and pretty responsible defensively.

Goldenboy and WBA stepping it up. First Ramirez vs Bivol and now possibly this.

Isn’t Stanionis in line ahead of Thurman for a fight with Spence? I think he loses both fights but losing to Spence might pay better and not look as bad as losing to Ortiz.

Won't be surprised if Ortiz ducks this like his sisters munguia and garcia run from their mandatory slots against champs. Golden Girl Promotions different

You absolutely have a point about Munguia and Garcia but Ortiz seems cut from a different cloth. I will say that with Oscar steering that ship, you could be right.

I know I'm gonna catch some serious flak from y'all for saying this, but I'm saying it anyway: don't sleep on my boy Thurman. Yeah, I know most everybody considers him "Past-Time", he's hardly fought over the last 3 years, "got beat by an over the hill PacMan", hasn't been the same since he beat Danny way back in 2017, he's old now, he get's hurt to the body, etc.

There are a lot of valid arguments to be made for Spence beating him. But, if you think Errol is gonna walk over Keith, you better think again. He'll be a solid underdog and deservedly so, but Keith can FIGHT. Ain't nobody ever beat down Thurman or had an easy night against him. If he didn't get knocked down in the first round by Pacquiao (basically an off-balance knock-down since he was backing up fast) in a round that he had won until that point he'd be 30-0-1 right now.

Yeah, he's about to turn 34, but Bud is 35 and Spence is 32. And Keith has had plenty of time off to heal his various injuries, so he's a fresh 34. Spence had a major car crash and a detached retina. Thurman has been fighting since he was.a kid. He'll be ready.

Don't be surprised if Crawford-Spence doesn't come off for a different reason than everybody thinks: Keith Thurman defeats Errol Spence Jr.

Nah, man. Ortiz will take that fight. The winner can get the actual belt simply if it's vacated.
