This is the same ref who made the worst stoppage ever in the Calzaghe - Manfredo fight but he was willing to let Amir Khan continue in the Prescott fight after he had been floored & when Khan got back up he was completely out on his feet and O Connor basically just let Prescott hammer him again.

The stoppage in Calzaghe fight was premature and he shouldn`t let Khan continue to... take damage to the head... He should have thought bout his health...

I heard his interview on Talksport he said he thought he won and that the if you watch the fight without the commentary that the fight was not as close as people thought, he promised to KO McMuffin this time.

Watt might have been going over the board with the commentary but lets not forget that Haye was at ringside and he also thought Fury was losing, so its a bit delusional to think that he won the fight and that Watt was giving McDermott too much credit.

He tried to play down the fact that McCdermott was busting his chops with the better punches and said he was landing more, he was prolly throwing more i dont know about landing.

I rewatched the fight without commentary and although I did give Fury 1 more round I still had D cup winning by 6 rounds.

I also think that the fight stats showed that Fury threw more but landed less or about the same. So in my book, taking into consideration that Fury's punches wouldn't knock Amir Khan out, McDermott won that fight easily.

Also i score rounds on who is landing the more effective blows but i will score for the other guy to but he must be overwhelming the other guy with activity to take the round to cancel out all of the the clean landed punches of the other guy and i cant say Fury ever overwhelmed McDermott with activity to overshadow the clean hard shots he was landing on Fury.

Fury dont get subliminal points for arm punching and trying to look busy without landing clean shots or with any significant power.

Fury won the fight on the fact he kept trying even though he was not landing ****.
