This fight depends on of Plant can hurt Benavidez. I've watched Benavidez and he's ordinary and has some obvious flaws that need ironing out, at 168 he relies on his size and punch output. It won't be long before he ends up like Zurdo, although it won't take someone as good as Bivol to do it.

He's totally different from Zurdo, besides the size factor. Benavidez has fast hands and a piston jab. He's an aggressive, walk his opponent down type of fighter , but can box in the center of the ring. He has a variety of power punches that he puts together well, and unlike Ramirez, when he punches in volume, the shots are extremely heavy blows. He's an intelligent fighter that punishes the body and switches levels fluently. He cuts off the ring well, and has good timing. Benavidez doesn't have the best defense and is pretty flat-footed in his approach, but I can't imagine Plant being able to hurt him. David by KO in 9.

No defense vs great defense lol. If plant can land consistently he wins this bumavidez has 0 defense. I don’t know why people rate him so highly. That camp don’t teach defense. Bumavidez best attribute is his ability to call out canelo after crushing a can. Everyone who been knowing them for years knows Jose jr was the talent in the family. David will get exposed when he fights the next level.

Jose doesn't put his punches together as well as David, and he doesn't have the chin for the way he fights. David and Jose are both aggressive, pressure fighters, but David uses a mix of stiff jabs, body punches, and a diverse array of power punches while on the attack, Jose comes in with mostly power punches, not setting up his shots effectively, he also doesn't cut off the ring well like David, maybe because of the leg injury. They both need some work on defense, but David has a good chin.
