Man what happened to men's boxing in South Korea? These dudes were formidable at the lower weights back in the 80s!

Anyway, obviously taking Baumgardner in this one, too much lateral movement, too much power, too much booty.

Boxing started to get less and less popular in South Korea since the death of Kim Duk-koo after the Mancini fight. It never really recovered. Well that’s according to my girlfriend dad (they’re South Korean)

Obviously boxing is still a sport there, and you get the odd fighter that comes through but that incident really had a major affect on its popularity and participation.
