And you repeating "38" over and over only serves to underscore that - AT 38 - Shane still can't handle his business and manage his career appropriately.
Shane went after the #1 P4P fighter Pacquiao whom beat his business partner and friend into retirement. At the time the man was fighting at WW and the JWW rright he was willing to drop to 143lbs to do so not come in at 146 and pay a fine. Pacquiao had already had two fights at or above 140 when Shane went after him. Shane wants to fight Mayweather who just came back to the WW division whom also retired as the #1 P4P and #1 WW in the world right fellas? Am I missing something? Shane beat Margarito a fight which people thought he was going to get laid out in or broken down in he not only won but he dominated the fight. Am I missing something fellas...He hasn't fought a GREAT LITTLE MAN like JMM so maybe he is not going after the best inhis weight class. He is willing to fight Clottey and Berto. In my mind Clottey just lost to Cotto what is the point of Shane fighting him? No pointother than to just beat another TOP WW right??? Berto is a YOUNG LION A BELT HOLDER the only point would to be take his strap and beat yet another TOP WW. Shane fought Collazo a guy almost everyone looks bad against Floyd would not even get in the ring with him I bet. Oh yeah Shane fought a good hard match with Cotto YES FELLAS another TOP WW if not the TOP WW....So let me get it straight you are sayign Shane only wants big money fights? Well can you blame him I mean look at his resume and his age factor why should he resort to fighting some no body at WW when he is the man at WW.....Lefty

I don't know but it looks like the "Payday" just happens to be FLoyd, who some people feel is the best WW.
I would say that maybe Shane has hurt his marketability by challenging himself by fighting the best or perceived best at the time and losing some of those battles.
I'm certain if Floyd had fought Forrest or Wright he would have lost and his marketability would have suffered because the biggest thing Floyd has is the "0' in the loss column.
He would be a smaller Winky Wright. Great boxer, no real excitement with a couple of losses.

No disrespect to the fellow who wrote this article. I love floyd just like I love shane. The fact is those two guys need to fight. No matter how you try to articulate an argument as to why they shouldn't. They should. This is boxing. The idea of being the best comes from beating everyone who has earned their way up the ladder. Shane has. Period. Say what you may, he has. If you know anything about this sport then you know the number one rule; styles make fights, and there is no style out there that can contend with floyd, with one acception, sugar shane mosley. Lets stop being silly and make this happen. If you want to right an article right about the injustice that would occur if this fight does not happen. The fight must happen, in yankee stadium, cowboy stadium, somewhere we all can see this. This will be one of the greatest fights of all time. Any sensible person wouldn't try to debate that. "Think" man. Don't allow yourself to sound so simple. Let's all come together and make this fight happen.

It kills me how people try to protect Floyd. Ok, lets say thie biggest fight behind Pac has to be Shane. Floyd diciples should want Floyd to fight Shane, "Beat him down" and get the "EASY" money and shut everyone up.
I'm certain that Floyd will fight Pac, but what after that?

Floyd fans - Besides under sized Pac, who would you want Floyd to fight?
The only option is retirement. Would you rather him retire?

Mosley would get killed anyway so if he screams like a baby for the fight let him get killed. Mosley is an old man now and got lucky against a no good fighter in Margarito. Crybaby could be the best name for mosley.

Pointing fingers, I'd say Hopkins was the instighator and Max completely failed and came off as a total jackass.
