For anyone with reservations about how boxing was "primative" in the 40s...take a look.....This sport has regressed with the extinction of inside fighting, properly conditioned fighters

Reddit is full of Gen Z casuals who don’t appreciate boxers from decades past.

in that Ezzard Charles era, the heavyweight champ was a 190 lb 5'10 Italian guy. JFL do you grasp this fact? talent pool has deepened. such a fighter would never even make it to top 100 today.
Don't you understand that back then they were not jr weights. If you were a little bigger than 147, you have to fight at 160, if you were over 160, you have to fight at 175. And they used to fight 4 and 5 times a month. The ginger couldn't hide at 155 lbs, from the get go he was a mw, and weight in was same day of the fight.

Do you understand Canelo KOed a unified champ at 175 lbs?

Do you understand Canelo is trained with modern methods?

Do you understand Canelo is chemically enhanced?

                  "Trained with modern methods"

Gasses after 6 rounds in every fight, without having a high punch output....LOL

Charles throws more shots than Canelo in 4 rounds than Canelo does over the course of 12.

Just stop. A washed up version.

                    Canelo doesn`t belong to 175.

Canelo would be a small fat sparing partner back in old days.

Too fat to fight at 160 ( it was the same day weight in) and too small to fight at 175.
