And Garcia’s right: I’ve said numerous times recently, even before Ortiz, that whoever Loma faces at LW is always danger on account of size difference.

I just question the motive. I just think it’s a way of Garcia positioning himself within the LW hierarchy; in other words, dismissing Loma as too small, and thus, someone he needn’t fight.
Given the $$$ and accolades a win over Loma would bring, this "too small" thing smells a massive duck.

Nobody would fight him. That's why he moved up. After Loma made four guys quit in a row, that was it for Loma getting fights at 130. He had to move up. The whole point of moving up was to give his opponents the physical advantage with the hope that they'd actually fight him.

All of these people saying Loma is too old and small, yet he's beating young undefeated fighters still. Watch him do the business on Haney. I'm saving this thread.

If not a direct duck, just a way of positioning himself in the boxing sphere by diminishing any current or potential wins against him.

He's said repeatedly that it was already injured, and the surgery was already scheduled. Anyone paying attention could see that something was up from the opening bell because he wasn't throwing jabs, and he always starts with the jab. Take that away, and it's way harder to get in, especially as the shorter fighter. It wasn't because of anything Teo did. He got schooled by a mandatory in the very next fight after all, and when Loma started using the jab, he won the rounds, except for 12. It was ****** and arrogant to take the fight anyways, just like Dillashaw coming in with an injured shoulder against Sterling in UFC. They both seem to have thought wrongly that they could win with one hand, and paid the price. That didn't work for Teo either, after all.

Loma had to move to 135, he had no choice. he mad 4 guys quit and he stopped Linares. After that nobody from 126 -130 would have fought him.
