Theyll milk it with cruz abit i reckon on PBC he can be slotted in on a world title card as a co main etc or a he's in a fight on a ppv main card an fans will accept it because he's a fun fighter an they have that he pushed tank narrative which he did do an they don't have to pay him really crazy money. 200-250k a fight maybe. Won't be shocked if they stick shakur in with a Richard commey or even jarmaine ortiz after his showing against loma early next year sometime

Is Bob a psychic now ? Or is he subtly trying to talk Cruz out of the fight ?
I'm going to wait until Cruz speaks instead of letting Bob play ventriloquist.

I don't think Cruz is allowed to cross the street. Which is a perfect excuse for Arum and Shakira to stay away from that risky smoke as far as possible.

Guess who will be blamed? It won't be Arum/Shak.

This is why it's really time for Pbc to move on. They are killing the sport

This is why there should only be ONE sanctioning body.

If a good fight between two highly ranked boxers gets ordered then the promoters shouldn't be able to "go in a different direction." The fight either gets made or the boxer that ducks drops in the rankings. Simple as that.

None of this running to the WBO instead. The WBO that Arum clearly has in his pocket.

It's not about "mathematics" as he suggests. Had it been,Al would've allowed him to accept the Ryan Garcia offer as it was and probably still is the biggest purse he has been offered/given to date. Its clear Cruz is being kept in Al's back pocket for the Tank rematch once the noise of Tanks lackluster competition gets too loud.

Cruz, Mares, and Tank will be playing hot potato, whilst the rest of the division moves on for career defining fights.

I stated a couple days ago when this story broke, that Bob will take Stevenson on the same road as he did with Crawford and will make an excuse for Stevenson not to take on Cruz, and right on cue, here is Bobby....
Or it’s code for I already know they’re going to duck Stevenson because the minted Mexican has no shot against a skilled boxer like Stevenson who would embarrass him. Well at least that’s what Cruz Sr thinks.

Isaac Cruz Sr., father of lightweight “Pitbull” Isaac Cruz (24-2-1, 17 KOs), says he is not interested in his son’s fight with former world champion Shakur Stevenson (19-0, 9 KOs) due to the boring style of the last one. He prefers his offspring to fight another top Vassily Lomachenko (17-2, 11 KOs) because it’s “an easier fight”.

“I would rather see how my son fights Lomachenko – this is an easier fight,

When we get comments like this, it's a tell on the posters boxing acumen, that they have no idea what they are seeing. You don't go 12 rounds with Tank, pushing the pace, making the fight, and have Tank on the back foot the whole fight, going all twelve. Cruz has real power, and his KO's are set up. His ring IQ is very underrated, excellent defense, feints and offense. He's improving too.
Majority of his Ko’s came against cans early in his career. Going 12 rds with a old shot previously ko’d twice Vargas says all u need to know about Cruz”s “real” power.
