Arreola is the ****! (FYI for the uninitiated, being the **** is something good, everyone loves **** so saying something is the **** is synonymous with saying it is great) He's gonna KO Vitali's old blockhead ass back into retirement where his boring style belongs. USA, USA, USA!

I haven't heard "the ****" used since my student body president used it in his campaign speech back in high school.
I hope Arreola gets into the shape of his life and makes this a war for 12 rounds. That would pump some more life in the general public's view of the heavyweight division. Earning a rematch would be especially "****".Comment

i think it has more too do with the fact that wlad is as entertaining as watching paint dry,and thats a compliment too himYes, the division is in the capable hands of the two best champions it's had in many years!
But because they don't bite their opponents ears off, they don't **** women, they're not crackheads and they don't childishly brag and trash their opponents, some people don't like them.Comment

speaking of briggs hes back in the gym since august & his reported weight was 330! lol! i think itll be a short lved comeback unless he pulls a james toney or sam peter.both have dropped lots of weight.peter(239),Toney (211).I have always loved the heavyweights through the good (90's), and the bad, (since Lennox retired) in my boxing watching days. This won't be a bad fight at all to see. I would prefer to have some youngblood, but Arreola needs to have his ass whooped. I like him much better than Vitali, his persona and verbal skills makes him one of the guys who happens to be marketable, even if he is ugly as ***. But he doesn't take his career seriously, and he won't until he's humbled. Vitali can and will easily do so to Cristobal. I said it in another thread, right now Arreola reminds me of a fat Shannon Briggs with slower hands. He has the personality that makes people like, but hasn't taken his career near as seriously as he has taken himself. I will say this though, Cristobal has more of a fighter's heart than Briggs, but Shannon had more physical tools. Heart beats tools more often than you'd expect. Now if he would show some wisdom, then Arreola could go somewhere. Until that happens, Vitali wins this fight and looks good doing so.Comment

God bless Shannon, he won't lose any weight. He is only looking to spar. He did absolutely no roadwork in his last comeback and actually didn't even train a day or spar for his last fight with Ibragimov. Had Shannon taken his comeback seriously at all he would've beena big time player. He knocked a very good fighter in Liakhovich out of the ***ing ring when Shannon was gassed after 1:11 of the 2nd round. Briggs made a lot of money for doing nothing, but could've been ****** rich for just being a good heavyweight in the 90's and early 2000's because he was so damn marketable. But he let that get to his head and he lost out on so many opportunities that he thought he just deserved instead of working for them. He was my favorite fighter when I started watching boxing and he headlined the first ever live show I attended, and the first I ever covered as a boxing writer. But you are right, when guys come in shape (I'll use Eddie Chambers against Dimitrenko) then much better results and fights happen. Try to think of any fat contenders in the 90's that made it besides of George Foreman? The Klitschkos have come in shape and ready for every single fight and have never taken to ruining their careers in any manner. They train great for all their fights, do a lot of social work outside of the ring, and they respect the sport and their opponents. Too bad they're boring as ***, but they have at least showed what it takes to be a top fighter for amny years and it's nice to see one of them finally become champion (Wladimir when he beat Chagaev). NOw if the rest just followed suit, maybe we'd have a real challenge for the juggernauts known as KlitschkoComment
