the great things about boxing is there has been truly great fighters of different races and nationalities. It really doesn’t matter where you are from, if you’re good enough, you can reach the top.

but the reality is people often support fighters just because they’re from a similar background to them, so it often does come into conversations.

Im not really like that though, I don’t blindly support a fighter because they’re British, it’s always about being a fan of their ability.

100%. I did put it like a ******, but the truth is the truth. To market smaller men, they need a selling point. "5 weight champion" etc. In reality, from weight class 1 to weight class 5 there is a difference of like 15lbs. If this were the UFC, they'd be a 2 weight champion at best.

Being a unified LHW champion and then being unified CW champion, or CW to HW, is way harder to do, even backed by statistics, than being a 3 or 4 weight champion when you are a midget who ate one too many sandwiches in the morning and are now in a new weight class, or you forgot to take your morning **** and therefore can compete in a new weight class.

The midwit IQ people will talk about % of bodyweight etc, but that is mostly a fallacy due to skeletal structure/limitations of the human body and the fact that the jump from LHW-CW and CW-HW is still, as a matter of percentage, much higher than the little girls divisions jumps in weight.
