There was definitely some pro-Ramirez bias, my guess is either because they wanted him to win (because an unbeaten Mexican is more marketable than an Eastern Euro) or because they just didn't want to piss off De La Hoya by badmouthing his 'star' in his biggest fight.

One thing in general I don't like about modern day commentary is that they almost never stop talking. Just let the fight breathe. This isn't radio, we can see what's going on. Commentary is supposed to complement the broadcast, add to it, but more often these days it's becoming an annoying distraction best avoided due to the incessant yammering offering very little of value.
