On the contrary, nearly every opponent he has picked for the past several years have come off of either an underwhelming performance or a performance where they looked extremely vulnerable. If Benavidez beats Plant in dominant fashion, it will make the fans more likely to demand the fight but probably make Canelo less likely to take the fight.
