This is a LEGITIMATELY GOOD FIGHT!! Bivol proved to the naysayers that he was a cherry pick gone wrong and Zurdo is a monster. A classic match-up between a highly skilled Boxer (Bivol ) and a definitive puncher with skill in Ramirez.
That to the side, this narrative about doing this for Mexico etc....is a bit annoying. I can understand tribalistic loyalty but this very thing is a good part of why you have so much r@ce baiting dynamics on social media from emotional fans of the sport. Canelo used this narrative to avoid Benavides and Zurdo. Can you imagine if Erroll Spence made the declaration that he would not fight any black fighters?? I think we all know how that would go down. NOT WELL.

To be fair, Spence doesn't need to just come out and say those exact words. He just needs the action of it. When do you see the best black Americans fight each other? They're ducking left right and centre. Hell, even more than Mexicans against fellow Mexicans.
