It might not be a good idea to use Anthony Dirrell as a measuring stick since he was past his prime, while three years ago, a young 22 year old Benavidez defeated Anthony Dirrell at the peak of his career.

I wouldn't compare the Benavidez from 2019 to the one in 2022. By now he has stopped Angulo (10th TKO) who got robbed against Berlanga, Davis (7th TKO) who had a draw against Dirrell, and Lemiux (3rd TKO) in a five win streak after his decision loss to Billy Joe Saunders, retiring him at 33 years old.
As for the fight itself I think Plant outboxes him in the 1st half of the fight, but gradually gets overwhelmed and eventually gets stopped in the late rounds.
