This fight only happened bc Plant has no other choice if he wants that Canelo rematch. Canelo gone till May and Benavidez is the WBC interim champ, so Plant has to go thru him to get there. Feel that this fight has that Margarito vs Cotto type of vibe to it. Don't see Plant lasting all 12 with Benavidez. Should be a good grudge match.

Dog move by Plant. He could have milked his comeback but he’s 1-0 after the Canelo loss and stepped up to Benavidez. Props to him and David for making this happen. Two guys still in their primes. Young, hungry, and skilled. Can’t wait!

Canelo developed after the fight vs Floyd, he is the better pressure fighter actually.

He is a master cutting the ring, landing traps, feints, moving his head, starting with his left hand, he is not predectible, he can start with bombs and combinations, better body punches in the game (Lomachenko said this)

Chávez style, he is very similar, and he is a smart pressure fighter, Benavidez is not smart.

Canelo always is putting smart pressure Thats the reason he never ends a fight with marks in his face or hurted.

Canelo pressure and style was the reason Golovkin was too timid.

Plant now has the experience, Benabidez pressure is predectible, he is not smart, he has fast hands, but he is predectible.

Benavidez has a lot of holes in his defense.

Gavril exposed Benavidez in some many ways.

Plant will hurt David so bad with his explosive punches.

David is.not a Smart fighter and he lacks experience fighting elite level fighters

Good news for Boxing fans. Credit where it's due both these guys made it happen. Canelo has to fight the winner or vacate. Charlo and Andrade will continue to fight nobody and claim they are being ducked.

Andrade signed with Dazn specifically get fights with Canelo and lil g and both still refused to fight him. Heck, Al tried to just sign Canelo to a 2 fight deal to fight David and Jermal and he refused. Stop creating your own narrative and just be happy that these two are gonna finally. You can like one thing without dissing something else!
