i know big numbers are good to the sport, but if those numbers are true, then many casual fans watched that fight and they were most likely bored.

yah i was goin to bring this up..as a hardcore fan watching floyd do his thing is like poetry in motion, but to the casual (average joe moron) fan that bought the ppv cuz of all the hype and mayweather antics it might have been a tactical letdown...as ive said in other threads america's attention span keeps droping (just google the nations i.q averages droping for the last 40 yrs) and this also makes them more impressionable which means if they bought it and were dissapointed,theyll probably say "**** boxing forever,ima go watch ufc with the rest of my skinhead bro friends" HOWEVER as i stated earlier (assuming alot of u are east coasters) you seriously understimate how many mexicans ordered this ****! cuz ***in all of em did! so sorry floyd stans if this fight really did the numbers we are speculating its cuz of mr. marquez

Floyd is cool and all, but it's utterly crazy to say he deserves all the credit for these PPV numbers, if they are even true of course. I can assure you the most talked about thing before the fight was Marquez drinking piss, and they hyped this fight to death, ask yourself without the 24/7 without any of the promotional tricks Golden Boy did, would this fight be anywhere near as big as it wants? Plus I can honestly say, most of those buys probably came from Mexican and Mexican American households...people usually buy Mayweather fights to see him lose lol
