I dont get how crawford is making 10 million for David Avanesyan, who is putting up that money and how on earth do they think they will generate enough to pay him, the undercard ect for it? You know his ppv sales are going to be like 60k or something garbage for it.

This is the problem, if you can fight David Avanesyan for 10 million, why even bother fighting spence for 25 million even if we believe that is true. You can just fight 2 bums who have zero chance of beating you for the same money with no chances of losing your 0

To be honest, we shouldn't be too hopeful that Crawford-Spence ever gets made.

I think Crawford vs Ennis is more doable, and it shouldn't be left to marinate. Ennis isn't fully in with PBC, so that's why I think they make that fight with less difficulty.

I think it would be a great fight, and I wouldn't care if it's at welterweight or super welterweight, belts or no belts.

We true boxing fans know that a great boxing fight is better than a great mma fight. But the reason the ufc gets such praise over their history, and that boxing gets such stick lately, is that in the squared circle we don't see enough of the best vs the best.

But as said before, I respect fighters getting into the ring in combat sport. Your health, and even life is on the line, so I have to mention that, and give that huge respect.

Crawford couldve easily done what Floyd did with ODH, Haney did with Kambosos and what others have done- take a crap deal to get the fight you want. He chose not to. Isnt that on him?

I get this is NSB so posters will do expert chinese acrobat level mental gymnastics to blame Haymon and PBC. Haymon and PBC are to blame for some things but not all.

Crawford found a great payday so kudos to him. Hopefully he does what other great’s have done before him to secure a fight that will define his legacy.

PBC and transparency don't fit in the same sentence.

I don't know enough to confidently blame either side. I'm just tired of the dance. This fight will never happen because there is 0 trust on either side. Whether he pursues a fight with Spence or not, Crawford needs a new management team. He's going to turn himself grey trying to be a one-man band instead of just being the fighter.

At the heart of this debacle is the belief by both Crawford and Spence that this fight is the biggest money maker in the sport. Jake Paul vs Canelo or Jake Paul vs Tyson Fury is the biggest money fight in boxing. As Eddie Hearn has astutely (not jealously) observed, Crawford-Spence is a Super Fight for hard core boxing fans, but an average marquee fight for the general sports fan. Crawford-Spence gets compared to SRL-Hearns I, but its not even close. There is no SRL in this fight.

Shouldn't PBC be trying to make the fight worthwhile financially for Crawford? The deal as it stands isn't.

Getting fuc***? This guy has sold 50k and 75k in his last two PPVs, on the other side, you have Spence who has sold at least 350k or 400k on multiple occasions. If anyone is getting fuc*** it's Spence, since he's the one who has to give up cash from his side to satisfy this diva's demands.....

they are going to lose money paying him 10 million to fight that russian cabbage farmer. Its going to do like 40-60k PPV that is only like 3.5 million in PPV funds before anyone gets a cut.

I mean boxing promoters have really bent over backwards trying to promote crawford and hes been an ungrateful brat. He cant sell for **** and they takes loses on him

Mayweather recieved a gauranteed $10mil purse vs Oscar and Haney recieved a gauranteed purse of $3mil for the 1st and $7mil for the second,on top of a percentage of the ppv buys as well. So yea, infinitely better than the absurd package offered to Crawford on PBC's behalf.
