You don't see Arnold Schwarzeneggar and Charles barkley at other Marquez fights, do you? Those fans come because FMJ's involvement turns it from a fight into an event. Marquez knows that...but you don't.

Your right man given the state of the world atm 13k gate is amazing + its been suggested it did over 450k buys for what was a suggested mismatch. I wasn't going to buy it but on the day of the fight i was like **** it this is the biggest star in boxing i got to watch this ****. In the end i wasn't upset with paying 50$ was masterful performance..

Then fans were there for Floyd or to see him get beat up

Actually, 95% who went to Las Vegas to watch the fight at MGM are Marquez fans, 3% are casual fans and the remaining 2% are Mayweather jr. fans.

you can say what you want, the point is the vast majority of the fans were there to see marquez
and maybe there wasnt that many fans in his other fights because millions werent spent in promoting
other fights havent been as significant as a mayweather win, that fight wouldve catapulted marquez for beating mayweather against ALL odds and when EVERYTHING was in favor of mayweather

What percentage of total revenue is the gate?

Why are you comparing pac/hatton to Floyd/marquez? Compare common opponents.

No. That is a different revenue source. It won't count as 'buys" in the traditional PPV sense. But they will include theatre sales in Total revenue.

glad it did good. i wish boxing nothing but the best, it's the sport we all love and it's always good to know it's doing good despite certain rumors at times. one fighter that we enjoy and like, is enough of a reason to support the event.
