Haney and Shakur ,will one day be 34 years old to, they will have to be very good to perform at the level that Loma is currently at. People give Ortiz no respect this young man has a promising future.

Loma has a very good inside game. Just showed it against Nakatani. He's always either pulling down to tire the biceps or getting angles and hitting. Very few people fight as well from the clinch. Lots of people here with very short memories.
He didn't look like the Loma of old at all though, and if that's what shows up against Haney he's going to lose, likely badly. But he's been out of the ring fighting a literal war for months. Who knows what kind of toll that takes. Certainly none of the haters here have ever accomplished even a fraction of what Loma has, and I'd bet very few have ever served their country, let alone in an active war.
If the Loma that fought Commey and Nakatani shows up, should be a decent fight. Haney has a great jab though, and a lot more championship experience, and if he had that much trouble against Ortiz, it's not a great sign. Ortiz did a fantastic job though, and should be given more credit.BustedKnuckles likes this.

The way I see it going into the fight - Loma's strengths are his experience and angles and Haney's strengths are his youth and that jab. Loma will be a bit better for this fight than the Ortiz fight. But I have to give a slight edge to Haney. I think Loma will be a step behind Haney. But in a Stevenson vs Haney fight, I think Stevenson wins a UD. Haney is Excellent, but I think Stevenson has shown to be special at times. They both have something in common though - they take away an opponents strengths.
And to step away from the tangent, they remind me of another fight where the fighters take away opponents strengths, Vargas and Navarrete. Navarrete uses such awkward angles when he punches that no one can get a lock on him for 12 rounds and Vargas with his reach and distance is also so hard to get a lock on for 12 rounds. The fights I really want to see are Vargas vs Navarrete and Stevenson vs Haney because all 4 fighters are like a Rubix puzzle and I just want to know which fighters from each set have the keys to unlock the puzzle of the other. My picks are Stevenson in his fight and Vargas in his fight.

Eff all the opinions…I just want to see the fight. Just like everyone else, wish it was a year or 2 earlier. Best of luck to both!!!
