Katsidis isn't a lot skillwise, but he is strong and his relentless aggression may trouble Marquez early, Marquez might get pushed around a bit and take a round or two to get his rhythm. When he does though, starts finding the mark with counterattacks, keeps his distance on Katsidis (very important) he will take control, bust Katsidis' face up, and finish him off around rounds 6-8
Co-sign. That's exactly how I see it happening if the fight is made. Katsidis is no slouch but he is the perfect foil for a counterpunching Marquez. And it would be an interesting fight a la Marquez/Diaz.

Why Is Everybody Saying Marquez Doesn't Have it Anymore?

Why does everyone say that? Just because he lost to a guy who was at least 15 pounds heavier than him? When Marquez agreed to this fight he had all the disadvantges. It would apply to anyone trying to fight a great fighter not on his natural weight. I just dislike how everyone is saying Marquez might not have it anymore. He's a elite fighter but not in that weight. Is like Mayweather fighthing Hopkings. Just because he would loose a fight like that wouldn't mean he's not a great or elite fighter in WW.

You are right it won't be same type of dominance it will be way worst. Katsidis has kind of the same style of diaz perfect for counterpunchers but diaz has better defense than katsidis and better boxing skills. Katsidis got hit with alot of punches from escobedo only difference was escobedo didn't threw enough and didn't have no pop to back him away. Katsidis was open all night long for the uppercut something JMM will capitalize and finish the fight around rd 6-9 with a tko from an amazing uppercut like in the diaz fight.

Marquez don't have anything to prove in LW he should just fight hatton beat him make some money (he really deserves it) since hatton has a large fanbase and then retire, if not go for Urango's title capture it retire with a 4 belt in a 4th division.

All those people are pac nuthuggers or are average boxing fans that want to see a pac vs pbf showdown instead of asking pbf to fight ww. JMM has always been in the dark by some of the media and fans without truly recognizing his skill and performances against great opponents not handpicked like pac. If the fight with pac vs pbf happens pbf will demolished pac not just win every round like he did with marquez he will ko him and finish him off pacs style will play righ into pbf counterpunching style. The difference will be that people will say he was to big which of course is true and say he still great but right now with JMM they don't say the same thin which is quite ******.

JMM didn't faced and old dehydrated maywether or a mayweather that had just recently been knockedout. He faced an undefeated fighther in his prime and in his comfortable weight. So instead he should get the respect for having the balls to face that kind of fighter instead, is like pbf said JMM said the guy they called p4p best don't want to fight me so bring out the real deal and that alone deserves respect.

agree.. i think valero might hit hard.. but would like someone to either catapult him to stardom or expose this dude!! either or would be ok.. with this being said, base on skils marquez would dominate a UD..
