Yeah, I agree on Ward, (I overcooked that) but not on Floyd.

Mayweather started at 130 aged 19, whereas Loma was at 126 aged 25.

That’s 6 years worth of growth that Mayweather had to gain into his frame over Loma; a frame which was already an inch taller than Loma’s, and with a 7 inch reach advantage.

So it’s not bull**** at all, is it? My central premise was that Loma’s fighting far bigger men than his body should be dealing with, and they’re often about the same size as many of Floyd’s opponents at WW thanks to the magic of weight draining hitting new heights.

Do you understand yet? TLDR: Loma had already almost maxed out on size when he turned pro.

Yeah that’s right, he’s already won so no need to fight. That’s how Fury and Wilder got their HOF records

Yes it was fights in which Loma did have size advantage which people like to Ignore but Russell fight as well as the Rigo fight but that is boxing some fights you're the bigger man, others you're the smaller man

And fwiw gaining weight to fight in heavier classes is not the same as fighting above your actual weight.

But not as overhyped as Joshua and Wilder.

              Another perspective

He faced a former sparring partner who trained with him for 5 weeks and was completely familiar with Lomachenko's style and moves so he had a significant amount of experience to fall back on and he used to his advantage.

That has nothing to do with it. Wilder just fought his former sparring partner. How did that turn out for the sparring partner? It happens all the time in boxing. Some of these excuses are ridiculous.

Glad I'm a normal fan, not a race-based, country-based type of fan. I see comments being predictable just seeing the username. I don't even have to read them.

So......basically Lomachenko is predicted to be 3 to 1 underdog vs Haney or any top fighter.

Good thing is we'll soon see which fans are willing to give credit to the winner. Let's just remember all these names with their rhetoric.

Well, quite. It's absurd that it needs saying, but that's only because tis absurd that ****ing around with weight to this extent is a thing
