I'd heavily favour Anderson Silva in that scenario simply due to the fact that he knows how to kick.

I don't dispute that but how can something be considered not be a "real" fight because there's rules and then the other one be considered "real" that also has rules?

The premise of a fight being "real" is there's no rules.

In MMA you can't even throw kicks when they're on the floor, you can't throw knees to the head when they're on the floor, you can't even grab the cage You can't throw downward elbows, you can't grab the shorts/gloves, you can't have your fist open where your fingers are showing and many more.

That doesn't sound like a "real" fight to me.

An MMA fighter being in a fight with no rules would thrive even more. Go look at the old vale tudo days.

If you think it benefits a boxer to fight an MMA fighter with even less rules you are mistaken.
