i think it showed when he fought thompson that wladimir has alot of problems with someone that is about his size that has decent skill..i mean yea he KOed thompson in the 11th but thompson was actually winning some of the early and mid rounds and making wladimir really uncomfortable..that fight showed that wladimir has way more weaknesses than a weak chin

Wlad couldn't do what he does if he was without his far superior reach and height, If he was smaller, like an average heavyeight he would do his 1,2 and first time he missed with the right he would get clocked with a left hook and put on the canvas, chinny as he is. His defense is just using his reach and leaning back out of reach for counters, if he was a smaller man that would get him knocked out.

Wlad often has the size advantage but the difference between him and Floyd is that he has no choice - he's in a division where he's fighting the best guys he can (however good you or me may think they are) and it's beyond his control. He could go after the bigger guys but really there aren't any in the same class as him at the moment.

Floyd often possesses the size advantage too but through choice, I think it's very different.

No, but he can't be criticized for that.

no doubt its not wlads fault that the HW division is weak
name the fights in which floyd has possessed the obvious size advantage beside JMM?
he has beeen the smaller guy much more than he has been the bigger guy

Has Lennox Lewis ever been in the ring without having a physical advantage?

Lewis has 86" reach, longer reach than the Klitschko brothers (Wlad 81", Vitali 80"). Why don't you make a hate thread about Lewis always having a huge reach advantage?

The Klitschko brothers completely dominate the heavyweght division and have higher KO percentages than Lewis. Vitali has the highest heavyweight champ KO% of all time.

              Vitali...36 KO's in 37 wins
              Wlad...47 KO's in 53 wins
              Lewis...32 KO's in 41 wins

Wlad is the most skilled heavyweight in the world, great footwork, very fast hands, elite athlete, best jab of all time IMO, steelhammer right hand, deadly left hooks and he does have a big uppercut, he badly hurt Mercer, Brewster, Thompson, etc. with powerful uppercuts.

Here's Wlad vs 6'7 250 lb Ray Austin

Look at this beautiful 2nd round KO, Wlad destroys 6'7 250 lbs Ray Austin with fast powerful quadruple left hooks.

Seems like Wlad has studied some Roy Jones tapes Nice Hooks.

not sure why you had too bring lewis into it? i assume its because he beat vitali
he may be the most skilled right now,but showing me a KO of a b-class fighter isnt going too make me think he would have been so dominant when the HW division was thriving

lets be honest though..ray austin is a joke..if you look at wlads fight with thompson who is a MUCH better fighter than austin you can see alot of the holes in wladimir's game when he faces a big decently skilled heavyweight..vitali is the much better "boxer" IMO. wladimir is the better athlete so to speak but vitali is actually more skilled than wladimir and i think if him and wladimir fought vitali would crush wladimir inside 4 rounds
