Boxing fans should not complain about how terribly the business of boxing is preventing great fights and then complain about how Jake Paul is the cover story here. I will tell you right now - this business model is one potential answer to how rotten promoters make it for boxing fans.

We as real boxing fans can’t be mad at Jake for doing what he is doing. Boxers are allowing this, if they would fight and give us good fights there would be no need for a side show. Protecting their 0 and making negotiations so difficult no reason in the world we are not getting Spence/Crawford. When we do it will be to late ala Money/Pacman. Another example Wilder and Joshua should have had a spectacle in Wembley well before the both ran into trouble. I mean, outside of boxing rules they dont, which is precisely why these fights are taking place under boxing rules. Its lame AF. Isnt a proving ground for anything other than who the better boxer is. Btw ive never seen an MMA fan argue that boxers dont have on average the best chins and punching power, isnt it common sense? footwork thing is apples to oranges.

Theres video out there of Jake getting tapped out by a guy went 3-2 in MMA competing at 145lbs. Its pretty obvious the kid is more of an MMA fan and would rather be UFC champ or something, but he knows his limits and has worked out a niche where he can "beat" old MMA guys in a sport that isnt MMA.

Nobody picked him to beat RJJ in a boxing match. And the guy you're calling one of MMAs top fighters is a 47 year old who hasnt won an MMA fight in 6 years, is 2-7 in the last 10 years and was KO'd in his last UFC fight by a guy on the undercard of this event. Highly disingenuous or maybe just ignorant. Would you have this same attitude if Jake beat RJJ, Hopkins or Floyd in an MMA fight? they're ATGs right? how much value would you put in Jake beating them?

Boxing newbie has a win over former champion and someone that took Canelo the full 12 rounds to beat.

Chavez was a paper champ who only got the belt because of his father's name. He was all talent and no discipline. Belts haven't meant anything for a long time in boxing.
