2x World Champion. 5x European Champion and done most of it on the road. This was the 22nd time he’s fought outside of his native Spain across 5 different continents and 8 different countries. He’s also been the guy in the away corner in the vast majority of those fights. It wasn’t like he was the house fighter boxing abroad.
He’s also been competing at European/World level for over 15 years now. I think a lot of British/Irish fans will remember when he first burst onto the scene back in 2007 when he destroyed Bernard Dunne.
Castillejo and maybe Carrasco (who I’m admittedly not too familiar with) are the only two I think you could put above Kiko. Where would you rank him all time amongst his compatriots?
