Even if he wanted to, there's no guarantee that Jones would offer him a fight. As far as I know, Frank Warren was working out a fight for them in 2000 or 2001. Obviously, the fight never happened. I don't know the reasons. All you will hear from Warren is "Jones never wanted any part of Joe Calzaghe". See it in the documentary "No Average Joe". I don't believe there has ever been a word from Jones about what happened.

Joe Calzaghe also said he'd never do reality TV.

We don't mean half the stuff we say. I find it hard to believe that both Calzaghe and Jones would have turned down a fight, if the opportunity had arisen for both of them, knowing the hearts they both have.

Exactly... You dont have to come right out and say... I Cant beat him. Saying something like... I know my capabilities, and unless I basically got PAID to take a fight that I dont think i can win... it isnt worth it.

Tbh a purse split then would have been about 80-20 or 75-25.

It means exactly what he said in the actual FULL quote: unless the offer was good he wouldn't risk it.

Mate, if you see his impression of a tinman with two left feet, then you could argue that he never has done reality tv!

                      Why mention your capabilities then?

Why not just say... if the offer is good enough...

                      Why talk about your skills?

Why say, hey... I know how good I am but...

Everyone here seems to be able to read that quote and make common sense out of it but you.
