Could the IBF order Ennis vs Ortiz for the vacant title?

So Team Ennis seem intent on forcing through their mandatory shot vs Spence, I think many of us suspect Spence could end up vacating the IBF title in the near future to pursue bigger fights.

The IBF currently has Ennis at 1 and Ortiz at 3 with no number 2 contender rated. Could we see them ordered to fight for the IBF title in 2023?

    I hope they do.

If Bud & Spence aren't going to fight, don't let them hold the WW division hostage, let the next generation of young guns have it out.

Vergil Ortiz Jr has been desperate for fights and wants to be active. He in fact petitioned WBA to enforce his mandatory status against Stanionis. He also said in one video that he's won't be turning down a fight with Ennis if it was offered.

Agreed. Ortiz wants all the smoke.

I really hope the business of boxing doesn't sap the life out of him like it does so many cats.

I completely agree. The WW division needs a shake up. If Ennis/Ortiz get a belt they’ve got a much better chance at securing a big name opponent too.
