Comments Thread For: Erickson Lubin Is All For A Danny Garcia Fight: "I Definitely Wanna Make It Happen"

Danny Garcia begrudgingly looked down at the scales, sweat dripping profusely from his brow before ultimately making his decision. While he thoroughly enjoyed his time in the welterweight division, the Philadelphia native knew good and well that squeezing down his fairly big frame to the 147-pound weight limit was no longer a possibility.

Good opportunity for Lubin to possibly put himself back on the map

However, for Danny Garcia, not sure how this benefits his campaign at 154. He should be targeting someone like Fundora or Castano.

I always liked Hammer since he was with Mike Tyson Promotions and seeing him on Friday Night Fights years ago when he was only like 19

should take a soft touch and work his way back slowly first

Danny has about as much of a chance to be competitive vs guys like Fundora, Castano or Lubin as I do to perform heart surgery! Get real my cat!!

Why would Danny Garcia step in the ring against someone who just lost by KO? It wouldn't be a wise move. Garcia won't be fooled into taking that fight.

I agree to a certain extent. I believe Danny would face them but titles have to be at steak. Danny has always been one of the smartest fighter as far as staying busy with subpar competition until that shot comes. All his big, tough fights at 147 were for titles, never a final elimination type fight.

Good fight. Torn between Lubin on points or Garcia by KO.

Same here. Started watching Lubin early in his career and enjoyed his style, thought he has a likeable personality as well.

Wouldn't mind seeing him in against Jamontay Clark or someone at that level for his first fight back and then step it up from there assuming he wins.
