I'm all for a Lubin versus Garcia fight, these are two fighter's who have to prove themselves after a couple of losses.
I like Garcia's chances of beating, if not stopping outright knocking Lubin out, if this match up ever get's made.

are you saying Danny deserves a title fight @154 ?? Why don’t we see if he can beat Fundora for that title opportunity… get real dude..

However, for Danny Garcia, not sure how this benefits his campaign at 154. He should be targeting someone like Fundora or Castano.
You mean Danny Garcia a light welterweight against 6'6 Fundora and Brian Castano who's basically a physically stronger Shawn Porter?

I am not sure those are the best matchups for him.

We just saw Ocampo, a fighter who is levels below Garcia and another former WW win early rounds against Fundora, and we saw prime Brian Castano in tough with 38 yo Lara a few years back, I would put money that DSG would outbox him.

However, Ocampo is legitimate 154 pounder coming from a 12-win streak with 11 KOs, he was unable to hurt Fundora throughout the whole fight taxing himself out. Fundora was getting caught because he knew Ocampo didn't have it in him to be able to hurt him.

Also we saw Brian Castano in tough fight with a 35 year old Erislandy Lara, an accomplished two former weight class champion. Castano also defeated Patrick Teixeira who was coming back from beating Carlos Adames and had a controversial draw with Jermell Charlo right after.

Danny Garcia is an outstanding light welterweight and welterweight with quite the resume, but whenever he fought the biggest names at WW he was unable to step up to the plate, I see it difficult to see how he could do so at two weight classes above.

Beating a crippled unactive Jose Benavidez Jr is not comparable to facing Sebastian Fundora in my opinion.

Do you know how to comprehend what you’re reading? When did I say Danny deserves a title shot? What I said was Danny won’t fight any top contender UNTIL there’s a title on the line. He’s not going to fight a guy like Lubin just to move up the rankings.
