I rate Fury, but he’s about to have two pointless trilogies on his resume. It’s only with retrospect we appreciate Fury-Wilder 3, but it was a pointless fight to make given nearly everyone thought Fury won the first two comfortably

Chisora is a good fighter. He has the physique and power and is always aggressive in his boxing. He can also take good shots and still come forward to attack. The reason he's not an elite fighter is that he lacks to skills to finish the job and the stamina to go the full fight at a pace. But he is a warrior and always with a puncher's chance. That is why he is lower down the rank but acts as a gatekeeper.

Under normal circumstances, this would be a good fight, not just a tune-up. The reason it is not appealing is that we have already seen it twice. People want something new...a new face, a new challenge, a new excitement which we won't be getting from this fight. The other option I can think of is Joyce. I ain't buying Warren's BS that he isn't ready, but Queensbury does not want that fight. They want to keep Joyce's chances open to secure a second belt for them rather than competing amongst themselves for the same belt. Same story for Dubois. So, ranking-wise Chisora seems OK because they are both British and may end up with better paydays for each.

Boxing-wise, a rematch with Wallin could be interesting even though I do not rate Wallin highly as I think he just got a lucky cut and couldn't capitalize on that. But you could build a case that the fight gave Fury some trouble. Martin just lost to Ortiz who lost to Ruiz who's going to fight Wilder next. He just defeated Wilder twice and Whyte recently. Joshua won't fight and Usyk needs time. Fury is looking for big-money fights and won't risk much in between unless the reward is high. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the entire HW division as of now.

I don’t mind Fury taking a tune-up, but he’s already smashed up Chisora twice. I also won’t give him a pass for insisting the is retired and then floating all of these names for his next fight. Time to get off the fence, either he is retired or he is not.

I realize there aren’t a lot of stay busy fights out there until Usyk is ready, but at least accept a challenge from a new scalp. Big Baby Miller would have been a good one.

It's tune up for Usyk fight. As clear as day. The undisputed fight will be set up in 2023 and middleweight got scared of Fury in 2022.

Also, Fury has the best resume in HW if we consider W/L rate and Chisora has the best overall resume in HW. So, that's clash of best resumes in the division.

Chisora the guy you make fun of gave to middleweight his one of the toughest fights. No one can criticize Fury.

What's to guarantee the fight will happen? He pissed dirty twice fully knowing that testing is in place and the fights had to be canceled/replaced. No more soup for big pharmacy.
