Nah, if no Usyk, then fight Andy Ruiz in Las Vegas or L.A.! Joyce vs. Joshua in UK makes more sense!

Love to see Wilder/Joyce but on a realistic note Wilder don’t need Joyce at this point. He makes more money fighting Ruiz & a win makes him the WBC mandatory. Usyk has also shown interest in making a possible voluntary defence against Wilder if the Fury fight falls through. There are bigger & better money fights available to Wilder without having to fight Joyce.

Joyce would be a tougher fight for Wilder than Ruiz would be, because Joyce is a much bigger man, and he is strong. Over against that, Wilder can flatten just about anybody who walks into his straight right hand. So, good matchup.

Wilder would be favored to win because -- at least from what I've seen so far -- Joyce makes no effort at defense. He just wades into people and knocks them out. If he walks straight at Wilder, he'll get tagged on the lips with the world's most famous right hand.

In the plus column for Joyce, he's reputed to have a chin like a granite tombstone, so maybe he could get up from a Wilder right. Joyce does attack the body and he has scored at least one KO on a body shot, which Wilder won't be used to. And he's got serious knockout power in both hands.

Something to like about Joyce: In several fights where his opponent was disabled but still on his feet, Joyce refrained from further punches. It speaks well of the man that he apparently does not seek to ruin people in the ring like David Tua continuing to blast out John Ruiz when the opponent was obviously unconscious.

Since when is Wilder the hardest puncher ever? Who has he actually knocked out, which big names?

For sure, he's the biggest puncher today, not dis*****g that, but in history, gimme a break. And yes, captain obvious, Joyce is much better than Ruiz.

Fair comment, how much could Joyce take, but also, how much could Wilder take from Joe.

That’s the thing. Liachovic was shot to pieces. Molina is made of sugar. Washington has a glass jaw. Szpilka was flattened by Chisora in the same manner. Ortiz got floored by Ruiz so his chin seems fragile too. Helenius’ jaw is just a memory. Fury was floored by that unknown journeyman as well as Cunningham the cruiserweight. Wilder didn’t keep him down. His best ko was Breazeale and that was the most perfect money shot on the chin of his career. Breazeale was also struggling with that polish guy, walking in the twilight a number of times.

So Wilder has knocked out has-beens and total bums all career long. His power is undoubtedly good but is it Ernie Shavers/George Foreman good, probably not.

Malik probably basing his opinion fact ruiz got L by points against parker and joyce managed to KO him on top evident physical differences between both, for me both guys are going to put bronze bomber to test regardless of fight outcome.
