    Bigger Bum Fight

    It's a crying shame, and I'm in tears LOL'ing

The Furries say 12L is a ''stay busy'' fight, adding to his terrible resume.
The GGGroupies say their hero is forced to fight yet ANOTHER BUM
(so far The GGGroupies haven't cried about Elvira being TOO YOUNG for the geezer )

    Added poll -

They all are, but Wilder fans are the most bizarre of them all. All his fights is some sort of ethnic struggle for survival and his wins show the strength of his people, his losses are some sort of proof of oppression and fraud. He is a king and not just a boxer. I find it strange. but anyway.

The Fury and GGG fans can be ridiculous too— just not on the same level.

Wilder fans are the worst I’ve ever seen. Although Wilder seems a nice guy in many interviews and interactions (and I want to be clear here — he is NOT a racist), he plays into the bizarre cult surrounding him quite a bit.

He acts like he’s the reincarnation of Sundiata Keita himself, and sometimes, I think he half believes it.

I don't see them being as hypocritical as the other 2.
Fighters are going to think highly of themselves regardless.
Boxing is an ego driven sport. Would we expect them not to think they're the best ?
Fans should be honest about their guy.

As sloppy and predictable as Wilder is, his fights are entertaining.
Unlike Fury, who is sloppy AND dirty.

GGGeezer is an aight fighter who wasted his entire career fighting bums and chasing Nelo.

To get to the point though, I’m not sure what the heck GGG is doing. He was a solid middleweight, and I think he was avoided in his prime, but he’s clearly past his best and should probably retire. It doesn’t help that he fought a style that took a lot of damage. I don’t think he can beat the other big names (like Charlo) at this point, so he should probably just quit and enjoy the fruits of his labor at this point.

As for Fury, I like watching him fight, but something’s not right with him right now. He’s been all over the place, and even worse than usual. Covid may have taken a toll (he looked really slow and plodding to me in his last two fights), the health issues with his daughter probably did psychologically as well, and though he won in convincing fashion, he ran face first into Deontay’s iron right hand more times than he really should have in their trilogy fight. So I think some physical and psychological stresses have been going on and based on some of his behavior he might be using again. His inner circle may be trying to stabilize the situation by giving him a stay-busy fight right now, since we all know he seems to go off the rails when he has nothing to do. But he may not be in the right mental and physical place for a big fight.
I honestly like the guy, because he reminds me of a particular relative I always liked, who is now deceased. Fury reminds me of that quote Dave Grohl said about Kurt Cobain being a different kind of person — to paraphrase, that he was legendary in his field, but the sort of person whose lifestyle will never allow them to see old age. I think Fury is that sort of person, as was Jimi Hendrix, Diego Maradona, and many others throughout history.

To be fair, I wasn’t speaking so much of Wilder as some of his fans. But I think some of his behavior and things he says encourages his stans to be, well, a bit nutty.

Wilder seems like a likable guy when he’s not in his alter-ego state.

And although I don’t buy the egg-weight stuff and other theories about Fury, I get what you’re saying— we do know he tested positive in the past and he does know and utilize all the dirty tricks just like Holyfield and some others did.

And in Wilder’s defense, I’ve always had a feeling his alter-ego and talk of wanting a body on his record was really just a way for him to compartmentalize stuff and deal with the fact that he is actually a nice guy and a gentleman, and hates hurting people in the ring. His press conference after the Helenius fight sort of confirmed my view in that regard.

GGG - I can't find a MW he beat in his prime that was so dangerous. LeMeh ? Stevens ? Macklin ? He, IMHO, was just stat padding by staying there and not keeping his promise. GGG will be alright as long as he keeps fighting bums, regardless of how YOUNG they are

Fury - He has a terrible resume as well. Wlad and Wilder. His fans want to include Chisora as well !!!!
Wlad was not interested for whatever reason and Fury was fine with it. It was the most boring fight ever. No one threw a meaningful punch.

              GGG & Fury - Both said shlt that made me cross eyed;
''I will fight anyone from 154-168.''
''I will only fight AJ if NO ONE GETS PAID.''

GGG fans/Nelo haters called Biv a cherry
Fury fans call 12L 3 a worth while fight.

I have a feeling you lean more towards resume when judging a fighter while I use a combination of resume and the notorious “eye test”.

Fair play either way, you seem to know your boxing and I respect your opinions. Good talking with you
