He has wasted his career away trying to secure a payday instead making a case for himself as a guy to fight.
That's the truth! He should've never signed to MatchRoom, although I understand his motive, with Canelo, GGG, and Saunders, at the time he signed!

      Plant is trash

he is lucky that its a 4-6 belt era and that 168 is historically a weak division.

He isnt championship material. there are just so many belts that any pleb can get one. He would never be a champ in the earlier eras.

Breadman was brought in to somehow someway beat David Benavides…he knows that if Plant cannot get David’s respect he is cooked in that fight. Plant is a boxer who will have to be just as much of a puncher to break up DBs downhill flow.

I think Plant and his wife made a very smart move bringing Stephen in…make no mistake they brought him in to beat the Mexican Monster.

I am just happy that Breadman is getting some long-overdue exposure... Things kind of stalled with J-Rock, and I am sure Breadman can be on par with Hunter and Roach as the next 'celebrity' coach. I'd love to see Breadman train Joshua.

Plant can punch a fair bit, but Dirrell also is shop worn.

Benavidez will stop him, whether more or less impressively than Canelo, I couldn't say.

Unfortunately those fights didn't materialized and they could had been easily made. The issue for him is that he thinks he is valued more than what they want to pay him and Saunders and GGG had their Canelo shot.

Too bad because I really wanted to see how he measured up

It seems to me that Plant is the same high risk as Andrade with somewhat better reward.

A lot of fighters wouldn’t be champion in the 1-belt, 8 weight classes era. Even if it was the current 17-18 weight classes, and 1 belt per weight class, still a lot boxers wouldn’t be champion.

With that said, I don’t think that alone would make them trash. Being a top 10 contender would probably hold more weight. If boxing went back to such rules, you would be praised a lot more for just being in the top 10.
